NCSS History / What we do

National Computer Systems & Services (NCSS), is a truly owned Australian company that has been servicing the IT industry for over 20 years. Established in 1987 NCSS has been delivering nation-wide service and support, supplemented by the recent joint venture JV with Getronics Field Services in July 2009, NCSS can now lay claim to having one of the largest in-field and return to base capabilities within the Australian market place.

The development of any business is a combination of organic growth and the dynamics of integration with other compatible organisations.

In the NCSS growth path, we have found synergy with the Enterprise Services business of Getronics Pty Limited in Australia, in July of 2008, NCSS created a joint venture with that element of the Getronics business. The operation that has developed and matured has one of the broadest and most competent service delivery capabilities in the Australian Computer Industry.

NCSS was established in 1987 to develop a business to address the lack of independent maintenance capability for the growing number of national networks. Along the way, NCSS established relationships with end users and suppliers, some still current after 20 years.

Getronics, with a 100 year history in communication and computer support, brought disciplines essential for nationwide project management. These complementary businesses are now combined utilising NCSS' investment in CRM and Business Control software, a product we have named "Catalyst".

This web site is an information platform about NCSS and it's products, a support facility for our clients and a database of technical information together with access to Catalyst and other vital NCSS systems for staff, client and supplier use alike.

Based on NCSS own software tools we have the ability to manage individual calls or even very large projects all interfaced to Catalyst via web interfaces updated by SMS and/or advanced PDA devices such as Apple's iPhone.

Using NCSS created software to control our processes not only makes our business more productive it also allows NCSS to better represent and understand the client process and deliver the required services on budget and within service levels agreed with those clients.
